Solvang Century 2000 -- Page 3

On this initial climb past the Vandenburg Gate, the Kahler Train got away from us. They say that Tandems can't climb ... but this one sure can!! My Heart Rate was up to 188 Beats Per Minute as everyone was climbing away ... so I thought I better take what could possible be one last photo of everyone!!

Some of us were able to regroup and help each other near the top of the climb and onto the flats.

The Kahler train pulled over and waited for us to regroup.

Some very cool shadows.

We regrouped at the top of the Vandenburg grade and most of us were together as we worked our way towards the mid point in Santa Maria.

Some good teamwork made this stretch go fast.
